OBSZÖN GESCHÖPF

Hanna Tsepesh: Salut Remzi! Thanks so much for accepting this interview and Welcome to THE GATES OF METAL! First of all: how are you and how are the things doing with your concerts?

Remzi:
I’m fine thanks . These times we have given some gigs in France to present the new album .
Of course I still would like to tour much but it’s very difficult to find place where play with good conditions because of the economic crise . But we will do an USA tour normally in March 2011 .

Hanna Tsepesh: for those who do not know the band, could tell us a little how it all started? Any reason for be just you in the band? And only have live members?

Remzi:
I wanted to create an electro-EBM -Industrial project cause i was very often in Electro-indus -gothic parties in the north of France . I listened this kind of music a lot at this period that’s how OG was born
The main influence of OG is the serial killers and the old horror movies .Actually i compose all the music before and then the lyrics . I compose bass and guitar parts with synthetic sounds and then my guitarist and my bassist play with real instruments at studio . In fact i compose the guitars but i don’t know how to play it .

Hanna Tsepesh: What inspired you the most to create the lyrics and what process the band use to create the riffs to comply with the lyrics?

Remzi:
The main influence of OG is the serial killers and the old horror movies .Actually i compose all the music before and then the lyrics . I compose bass and guitar parts with synthetic sounds and then my guitarist and my bassist play with real instruments at studio . In fact i compose the guitars but i don’t know how to play it .

Hanna Tsepesh: What are your favorite bands? You have any musician that you admire the most?

Remzi:
PANTERA first and then DIE KRUPPS, CLAWFINGER, WHITE ZOMBIE / ROB ZOMBIE , SKREW, LIMP BIZKIT, BIOHAZARD etc… for all their whole discography .
It’s difficult to me to give the name of only one musician cause like in for example: PANTERA all of the musicians were essential for the band .
Otherwise i have a big respect for Trent Reznor .

Hanna Tsepesh: You have another band or some future project?

Remzi:
I’m going to create a new project with my wife and the Producer Andy Classen . This project will called DEAD TEENAGERS .It will be more ELECTRO-TECHNO-ROCK sound .

Hanna Tsepesh: I would like to know if you had or have any singing lessons or any other preparation?

Remzi:
No need singing lessons to cream like a disembowel pig! (laughs)

Hanna Tsepesh: (laughs). What was the highest and lowest point of your career as a musician?

Remzi:
The best point is that i do the job i like .
I meet fans everywhere in the world and i have visited a lot of countries .
The lowest point is simply that i don’t win money .

Hanna Tsepesh: Let’s talk about the “SYMPHONY OF DECAY” album. This album is really interesting…we have a lot elements…and some different things to! I liked a lot this album! I am very surprised!

Remzi:
Thanks !!! I’m glad you like this album .
Actually i listen Metal and electro-indus for more of 15 years . You can feel that in my music . I have always like the crossover between Metal and electro industrial .

Hanna Tsepesh: at recording studio, you faced with difficulties? If yes, tell which was and how as the whole process?

Remzi:
There was no problem during the recording of the album at ( Stage one studio ) .
Andy Classen is a very good Producer , very Professional .
He had immediately know what i wanted for the album .
Anymore we get along so well that we have decided to create a musical project together .

Hanna Tsepesh: How has the response been to the album by the fans and media?

Remzi:
Reactions of fans and media were good except some which were surprised by the metal and violent side of the album . But they have to accustom to listen it cause the next will be in the same style

Hanna Tsepesh: If one of my readers wants to buy your album, what they can do?

Remzi:
He can directly order this CD to me .he contact me by email or on myspace and i give him all the infos to order .

Hanna Tsepesh: what is your favorite music in this album and why?

Remzi:
It’s very difficult to answer to this question.
It depend of the moment . Now i think my favorite track is « Bloody ice scream « because of it’s violence and for the color ( Blue and white ) that it’s emit, but that’s another story...

Hanna Tsepesh: What is your opinion about the metal in your country (France)? It is easy to get some support?

Remzi:
France is a country of shit for the metal and alternative music .We have a lot of bands but no support from the media ( TV,radio etc…) excepted from the specialized media .this has got nothing to do with USA,UK,GERMANY etc…

Hanna Tsepesh: What is your big advice for a young musician?

Remzi:
Young musicians in Metal? To study and find a real job?
But if he’s as crazy than me i recommend to really go into it and give all .It’s make or break .

Hanna Tsepesh: Do you want to send any message for the people who going to read this interview?
