Hanna Tsepesh: Hello Marino, how are you? Thanks a lot for you accepting this interview! First of all, can you tell us a little bit about TIME TREACHERY history and tell us about you and the other guys and finally what do they play?
Marino: Hello, I am fine, thanks! Well, Time Treachery is a five piece melodic/epic death metal band from Zadar/Croatia. It exists for almost a year and a half. The rest of the line-up: Kristijan Bajlo-Drums,Josip Ivković- lead guitar,Bruno Vuksan-Ćusa-Bass and Andrija Javoran-Keyboard.
Hanna Tsepesh: Talking about you, what are your favorite bands at the moment?
Marino: I mostly listen to metal, but I also listen to some rock and punkrock stuff.My favourite bands are Wintersun, COB, In Flames, NOFX, Pantera, Equilibrium...
Hanna Tsepesh: I want to congratulate you, because your voice is really great! You are a very young guy and i was very surprised about your voice and talent! When did you start to play guitar and why?
Marino: Thanks a lot for the compliments! I started to sing when I was 15 years old and playing guitar when i was 14 years old.I started playing because i always liked music,and i wanted to play in a band.
Hanna Tsepesh: You are very welcome! What do you like to do in your free time?
Marino: Hanging out with my friends.
Hanna Tsepesh: About your EP “Under Eternal Nightsky”, like i said before i was very surprised with the talent because the band is so young! I must say that i like a lot the first music “Restless” and the last one! The music is really great/powerfull! Congratulations for all the band! Can you tell to our readers about what the lyrics talk about and what the band wants to accomplish?
Marino: The lyrics are mostly about life...some of the songs are written metaforically, some aren't.We want to continue with composing songs, playing gigs, and we'll see where will that take us.
Hanna Tsepesh: About studio recording, it was easy to make “Under Eternal Nightsky”?
Marino: Well, It wasn't really easy, beacause we weren't together for a long time as a band at that time, and we didn't have any recording experience. But in the end we made it.
Marino: We are planning to record a promo album this winter. It will probably contain 8 songs.
Hanna Tsepesh: Great news, we will wait for that! In this Ep, what is your favorite music and why?
Marino: My favourite song form our demo is "Restless", because to me it is more energetic than the other songs.
Hanna Tsepesh: If a deaf person ask you to write and to descrive all the musics (one by one) what will be your answer? And don’t forget that the person is deaf …
Marino: I'd say that all songs are melodic/and fast.
Hanna Tsepesh: Cool anwer! About concerts, the band have some dates/places? Can you share with us…
Marino: We have a couple local gigs coming up that are not worth of mentioning, but we have registered to a Metalcamp 09 "Talent stage forum" contest. Hanna Tsepesh: I already voted and i hope our readers do the same! One little curiosity: Who was the person that gave the name to the band? There's any reason to give this name?
Marino: We gave this name to our band all together. There was no certain reson for giving this name. We just liked it.
Hanna Tsepesh: ok! You guys have some support in Croatia? Is it easy to play gigs there and listen to your music at Metal Radio shows? Does people support bands like you?Marino: Well, yeah we have some support here. It is easy to play gigs here,but is very hard to find them, because in our hometown gigs do not happen very often. There are only a couple of metal radio shows on which you can hear your song playing.
Hanna Tsepesh: Last question, do you want to send anything to all metalheads out there about TIME TREACHERY and people that support you guys?
