Hanna Tsepesh: Moro Sulphur! Thanks a lot to give us this interview! First of all tell me a little bit about URN formation and also about the history when everything started, for people to know URN a little bit…Sulphur: Well in hell!..too fucking boring to type any sort of information of our history. everyone who might get interested to it can read it at www.urn666.com.
Hanna Tsepesh: What is the inspiration to create the lyrics for URN band?
Sulphur: Aggression,hatred,violence,destruction.
Hanna Tsepesh: What is your personal vision about Black Metal and black Metal bands?
Sulphur: dead and buried.
Hanna Tsepesh: Some fans of you would like to know why did you choose black metal?
Sulphur: i haven't chosen black metal.
Hanna Tsepesh: Nowadays you are evolved with another project or just URN for now? How are the things working with Barathrum? For a long time i don’t listen nothing from those guys… they still play?
Sulphur: no any other projects. barathrum is active..at least they do some gigs this year. for more information, ask it from barathrum members.
Hanna Tsepesh: At the moment, what are your favorite bands?
Sulphur: nifelheim,unleashed,exciter,metal church,possessed..to name a few.
Hanna Tsepesh: What was your favorite concert/fest for now with URN, and why?
Sulphur: hmm..jalometalli festival 2007 was great for us and seeing mighty unleashed there made it perfect.
Hanna Tsepesh: Talking a little bit about new URN album “Soul Destroyers”, i really like it this album is GREAT, especially the guitar riffs and your voice! Congratulations for all the band, is a fantastic and powerful black metal album!!But, for people who don’t know this album yet, can you talk a little bit about the album and also what have changed between this album and the pass one( “Dawn Of The Devastation”)? Anything changed for you?
Sulphur: i don't talk anything..let music speak.
Hanna Tsepesh: Tell me a little bit about the recording on studio, the band have everything done? Riffs, lyrics etc? It was difficult to work on studio for you guys?
Sulphur: studio was ok and sound engineer was good also..so no complains. this new studio was way much better than the previous ones we recorded something.
Hanna Tsepesh: One little curiosity…What is the meaning of URN and why the band chose this name?
Sulphur: Urn? i don't know the meaning of it...it just sounds cool..
Hanna Tsepesh: The band don’t have MySpace right?! If you have it, can you tell the link for the fans and also future fans to listen something, and if you don’t have it, there’s any reason for that, because MySpace is cool for bands to show the work to the people and stuff…
Sulphur: no myspace, also i have been thinking of to close urn website as well. fuck internet, hail to good old tape tradings and real letters!
Hanna Tsepesh: In Finland do you have any support? in this journey since 1994 until now it’s been easy? Can you tell some problems that the band had to face? In 2007 you changed your record label to Dynamic Arts Records, how was the feeling? Is a good label in there?
Sulphur: we are cursed and curse will never fade away!
Hanna Tsepesh: About concerts, any concerts for the moment? If yes, can you tell some dates and places? In the future the band for instance to play in Portugal?
Sulphur: no gigs this year...one guy from Portugal is spreading our promos and get in contact with organizers to get us there.
lets hope we can do it some day.
Hanna Tsepesh: At the moment, the band is thinking about a new album? You guys are making anything new? Can you talk a little bit about that..
Sulphur: i have some songs ready for the next album but no any plans to even rehearse old or new tracks.
only thing what i am thinking of is should we stop now, or should we stop only play live...
Hanna Tsepesh: Last question Sulphur, do you like to say anything to your fans in Portugal?
